Details:	Our client requires an Assistant Editor with experience of financial journalism to work on the leading bi-monthly magazine for pension scheme trustees. If you: · Have experience of financial journalism · Have strong subbing and proofing skills with knowledge of Quark and the ability to explain pension jargon in plain English · Love to interview key figures and write news and features till your arms drop off · Want to develop a reputation for yourself in the specialist field of pensions and investments then we want to hear from you. Main duties · Source and write authoritative features and news stories. · Support the editorial production of magazine and digital products · Liaise with key figures in the industry to develop your knowledge base and extol our brand values Responsibilities · Proactively source ideas, themes and topics for strong, authoritative features · Network with key industry figures and read widely to ensure editorial is at the very cutting edge of market developments · Provide content on a twice weekly basis for email alerts · Provide regular additional content for the brands website · Influence the development of the magazine through incisive understanding of the markets it serves · Represent the magazine at key industry events · Create a wider understanding and appreciation for the publication among key figures in the industry · Research and develop understanding of the markets served by the publication through attending press events, conferences and meetings · Support sales staff in one-to-one meetings with clients as editorial ambassador
